Dealing with failure on a medical certification test

Unfortunately, I just found out that I missed the passing mark on my medical board exam by only a few points. I am completely devastated and dreading the thought of having to open my study materials all over again. For anyone who had to retake their exam, how did you motivate yourself to study again?

I am so sorry to hear that, but please don't let this minor setback discourage you. Missing it by just a few points means you have a solid foundation, you just need to fine-tune your approach. When I had to retake a major medical exam, I completely changed my strategy and focused purely on diagnostic practice. I used https://www.simplytests.com/exams/medical to isolate the specific categories where I underperformed on my first try. Constantly working through targeted questions with expert rationales helped me patch those minor knowledge gaps quickly, and I felt much more confident going into the retake.
